She is the winner of American Idol 2005, beating Bo Bice in the finals. Simon Cowel was blowed away by her vocals and charisma. He even said something astonishing :" Carrie, I bet your the best in the whole season and further more to come." Even after the latest idol, Davie Cook, Simon remain on his stand. Carrie's genres is in country music. Well apparently she has an affinity with it. This is what she said in her biography: ""I wanted to sing country music because that's where I wanted to go whether I won or not afterwards. Even if I got fourth, fifth, or sixth place, I wanted to have some country label out there see me and be like, 'We want her!'" She's got backbone eh?

Carrie Underwood was the youngest child in her family, having two older sisters who were 10 and 13 by the time she came along. She grew up in the country, and loved to catch little woodland creatures, climb trees, and sing.
